SUMMARY: Seeking an experienced In-Country Technical Representative located full time in Manama, Bahrain for up to 12 months.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:(include scope of authority)


  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Duties will include working with the Bahrain Project Manager - MENA Programs, to ensure requirements are identified and visiting teams are utilized IAW their statements of work when in country.

  • Manage and maintain strong professional relationships with U.S. Government Naval Sea Systems Command and senior leadership in the Bahrain Navy.

  • Assist with the Bahrain Navy and U.S. visiting teams to ensure all required resources are made available to avoid in delays in accomplishing scheduled work in a timely manner.

  • Work directly with the NAVSEA Port Engineer in Bahrain for collaboration and solution driven discussions regarding any issues that arise with Bahrain Navy and assist with developing Maintenance Availability Work Packages.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of related experience on board U.S. Naval ships involved with the repair, maintenance, overhaul of hull, mechanical, electrical systems and/or combat systems.

  • Must be an effective communicator and be comfortable briefing senior U.S. and international Naval Officers on a frequent basis.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Foreign Military Sales experience

  • Experience with Office of Military

  • Cooperation, Military Liaison Office, or other U.S. Security Assistance Organizations.

  • U.S. Navy Officer

  • U.S Navy shipboard experience

  • Shipboard experience in Hull, Mechanical and Electrical efforts or in Combat Systems and Weapon systems

  • Naval Shipyard operations experience

  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

  • Excellent quantitative, written, and presentation skills; innovative, organized, and thorough

The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
