Convenience Store Management Program

Join our Company to lead your store as a Manager or Assistant Manager:

 

Build on your management skills by training 3-6 months (on average) with a tenured store management team, learning to run an efficient and profitable operation of a single unit convenience store P&L; assuming more duties each week of training.

 

Strive for excellence in daily operation of the store, development of all employees within the store and ensure the best customer service standards are in place.

 

Work 50+ hours per week, which can include nights and weekends in addition to covering shifts on short notice in case of emergency. Promotion to Store Manager, or Assistant Manager, is based on new hire performance, and location availability. Management Program Trainees are required to be open to working at several store locations across the greater St. Louis area (and/or surrounding rural markets). This may include all Wallis Convenience Store Brands: Mobil On the Run, Dirt Cheap, Phillips 66 U-Gas.

   
 

 

JOIN OUR FAMILY BY MEETING THESE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education: Required: Equivalent to high school diploma; Strongly prefer Associates or Bachelor’s Degree        

 

Experience: Required: Minimum 1-3 years of prior leadership experience (keyholder, Assistant Manager, Department Manager, Store Manager, etc.) in a convenience store, quick serve or other retail setting; Strongly prefer 4+ years

 

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public

 

Technology, Tools, And Other Requirements: Proficient user of Computer, Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook and Excel in particular, Cash Register, Telephone, Copy/Printer/Fax, Other equipment necessary for convenience store operations, Hepatitis A vaccination where required
