About your role as a Lead Personal Care Assistant: You will provide direct care to our Assisted Living residents striving to give our residents worth and meaning, helping them strive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose. 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Schedules and completes the task assignment sheet in coordination with the PCA staff.
  • Attends weekly manager meetings.
  • Sit in on family / resident care conferences.
  • Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Answers call lights in a timely manner and responds accordingly to the resident’s needs.
  • Knows proper technique for first aide.
  • Assists in maintaining a positive environment for the residents.
  • Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
  • Assists residents to and from activities.
  • Re-directs residents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Success Criteria: 

  • You have a big heart and take pride in caring for senior citizens. 
  • You are proficient in using a computer.    
  • You are organized and self-motivated.   
  • Previous experience in an assisted living facility a plus.  
  • Attends weekly manager meetings.
  • Sit in on family / resident care conferences.
  • Schedules and completes the task assignment sheet in coordination with the PCA staff.
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with peers, visitors, and supervisor.    
  • You can read and interpret work instructions.  
  • Ability to apply basic math skills.  
  • Ability to make complex decisions requiring a high degree of judgment. 
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent.    
  • You are flexible and able to pivot when priorities shift.    

 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:  CPR Certified. 

   

 

Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical (completed by our Nurse Practitioner) and background check.
