**2nd Shift Schedule - Monday - Friday; 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM**

 

 

SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor is responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency, and integrity of the day-to-day operations of the MRO site. The person will be a hands-on leader providing direction, coaching, and management to the team. The position is both strategic and detail-oriented, with proven operations, supply chain, and technical experience in an aerospace MRO environment.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and manage timeclock and attendance exceptions.

  • Delegate and follow up on tasks assigned to their technicians.

  • Create and implement process improvements to enhance our customer experience.

  • Actively participate in future growth plans for their team.

  • Hold their team accountable for their production levels and organizational expectations.

  • Provide oversight and direction to technicians.

  • Provide all new and/or reoccurring training and technical support to technicians.

  • Monitor and assist production flow of components.

  • Conduct daily stand-ups with team and Production Coordinator.

  • Complete Character training and team building events.

  • Communicate with other team leads daily on support opportunities.

  • Communicate daily needs and expectations with the Operations Manager.

  • Communicate production challenges/needs daily to the Production Coordinator and to the Operations Manager.

  • Attend training courses as required.

  • Be involved with new capabilities within department.

  • Utilize specialty and hand tools daily.

  • Read and interpret technical data and drawings.

  • Verify that all components are tested to the appropriate specifications to ensure airworthiness.

  • Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.

  • Strong Verbal and written communications skills.

  • Planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting.

  • Computer skills necessary to learn and / or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, project, email, and web-based application.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: :

  • Bachelor’s degree OR

  • 4 years of relevant/technical work experience in lieu of degree.

  • Internal experience will count for 2 years as it relates to role requirements.

  • High mechanical aptitude required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling applications.

  • Flexibility to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.

  • Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.

  • Attention to small details as well as strong math skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years of operational work experience.

  • 6+ years in the aviation industry.
