RESPONSIBLITY: 

•           Develop and prepare personal care 

•           Understand the needs and restrictions from the customer and develop formulas accordingly

•           Prepare Specifications for all products developed

•           Maintain laboratory notebook, including critical processing details and observations 

•           Multi-task to handle 10 projects a week

•           Monitor batch shelf life stability

•           Calibrate and validate all lab equipment

•           Conducts and tracks all required performance and stability tests, interprets, records and reports results

•           Up to date with industry and consumer trends;

•           A working knowledge of the global regulatory requirements

•           Perform other duties as needed or assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

•           Bachelor Degree in Science, Chemistry preferred

•           1-5 years lab/formulation experience

•           Knowledge of Access, Excel, Word, CTFA and AS400

•           Attention to detail, organization and multi-tasking skills

•           Technical knowledge of chemicals and their functionality to develop and prepare personal care

•           Knowledge and use of a pH meter, pychno-meters, mixers, hotplates

•           Ability to understand processing procedures, fill weights, formula cost implications, ingredient lists, and  OTC products  in order to be well rounded in the capacity of formulation skills

•           Knowledge of OTC guidelines/monographs; Global formulation skills  

 

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment. Strong computer skills are required.
