Angel Tree Program Assistant
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has seasonal job openings for full-time Angel Tree Program Assistants for our annual Angel Tree Registration and Distribution program. This seasonal position begins on or around November 1, 2021 and runs through Christmas.
Angel Tree Program Assistants will Work closely with the Angel Tree Coordinator in order to run the seasonal Angel Tree program with The Salvation Army of Wake County, including but not limited to: assisting with the operation of the Angel Trees at Crabtree Valley Mall and Triangle Town Center including setup, pickup of donations, staffing the tree, assisting with the preparation and delivery of Angel Tree tags to corporations, assisting with communication to corporations and volunteers adopting angels, which includes phone calls and emails. Assist with set up at our Christmas Center to prepare for Angel Tree Distribution day, including setting up the toy shop, receiving donations, and organizing Angel Tree donations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to arrive on time and stay on schedule. Ability to get along well with others. Ability to operate a vehicle, which may include a van or box truck.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
One to two years of job experience in a related field
Licenses and Certifications
Valid State Driver's License.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Work requires continued walking and standing.
Work is sometimes performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
