The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for Seasonal Drivers for the Red Kettle Bell & Angel Tree season in Richmond VA. (November & December)
Drives a Salvation Army 16 passenger vehicle in order to transport Bell Ringers and Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations. May also pick-up Angel Tree donations for transport to warehouse using a box truck. Driving season to begin November, 2021.
Clean DMV driving record. Familiar with the Metro-Richmond area.
Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle. Knowledge of acceptable driving techniques and practices. Knowledge of safety precautions associated with transporting passengers. Ability to drive a passenger vehicle ensuring the safety of passengers and protection of the vehicle. Ability to read and follow maps. Ability to gauge time needed to arrive at destination. Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (20-50 lbs) materials and donations.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and Clean State Driver's License. 21 years old. CDL preferred. CPR/First Aid certified a plus
