Admin Assistant/Kettle Coordinator Seasonal/Christmas
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Kettle Coordinator for the Red Kettle program in Richmond VA. (Season = October through December)
Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices. Knowledge in work force scheduling.
Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision. Ability to enter data accurately. Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff. Ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers and staff. Ability to maintain volunteer and financial database.
Education and Experience:
High School or G.E.D. and one year experience working with kettle fund raising programs preferred.
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and Clean Virginia Driver’s License
Work is performed in and out of the office, and in a wide variety of weather conditions. Dressing appropriately is important for remaining safe and comfortable.
