JOB SUMMARY: 

SALARY RANGE:
$65,000-$75,000 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
* This position regularly requires nights, weekends, and holidays, particularly during the summer operating season.
 
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orienting, and training for approximately 650 seasonal employees and 30 full-time/year-round employees.
Responsible for creating, managing, and adhering to expense and labor budgets, including people related expenses in the profit and loss statement.
Annually reviews and makes recommendations to the General Manager for improvement of the park's policies, procedures, and practices regarding People & Organization.
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance with local, federal, and company guidelines. 
Recommends, evaluates, leads, and participates in staff development on human resources-related topics, such as harassment, diversity and inclusion, etc.
Directs investigations when employee complaints or concerns arise.
Leads a standard recruiting and hiring practice necessary to build a strong seasonal team.
Works with the park leadership team to continuously promote, curate and ensure a healthy company culture.
Ensures the People and Organization (HR) department serves as a link between park leadership and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies, and helping resolve work-related concerns. 
Identifies key workforce trends regarding engagement, turnover, recruitment, and hiring, and facilitates the organization’s ongoing strategy and response to address these key matters.
Leads the team to continuously build skills in gracefully addressing and resolving day to day challenges such as staffing challenges, conflict management, discipline, and employee concerns.
Ensures all employees training is documented and tracked.
Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping and safety.
Develops and implements policies and procedures to provide an environment that empowers the team, demonstrates cooperation, policy adherence, safety, communication and organization. 
Participate in the park’s Manager on Duty program

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS: 
This year-round salaried and benefited position comes with increased summer work hours (May thru October) and the candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
 
Ability to work in all environments indoors and outdoors.
Minimum 5 years of management experience in Human Resources or related field.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, advanced degree highly desired.
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid state driver’s license.
