As the Regional General Manager, you are well-seasoned people leader and expert in operations management overseeing all day to day operational support for our client and the Citibike Bikeshare system. You will have ownership over leading, coaching, and developing the New York Field Management team through the local senior leadership to ensure company and client standardsprocedures, goals, and financial targets are met. You will maintain an outstanding relationship with the client’s local operational management and ensure shared success of both Motivate and Citibike. Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to) 

  • Manage multiple operations teams with an emphasis on productivity and employee engagement 

  • P&L responsibility for the Field Operations team to include creation and management of a field operating plan and budget to effectively support the Citibike bikeshare system

    Grow and foster a strong client relationship through pro-active follow up with clients to review concerns specific to Citibike system operations
  • Drive productivity through process standardizationelimination of waste and reduction of variation across our various locations and teams 

  • Develop and lead innovative programs to train, coach and develop your direct reports to ensure successful operation of their locations and personal and professional growth of your team. 

  • Ensure all operations departments have adequate levels of trained personnel to meet contractual obligations of scheduled employees through partnership with the Talent Acquisition team and acting on the on the ground face of the organization with community partners and government agencies 

  • Develop and lead innovative programs that audit, measure and drive productivity and process improvements to increase location performance 

  • Ensure Directors are conducting effective observations of their processes and leadership team to determine skill levels and identify and lead coaching opportunities 

  • Monitor intraday, daily, weekly and monthly reporting to ensure SLAs and productivity objectives are being achieved and deficiencies are identified and addressed 

  • Ensure the revenue generation and cost management to achieve and exceed expected margins 

  • Problem solving, and creative thinking to create innovative solutions to balance customer satisfaction with cost-effectiveness 



  • Bachelor’s degree and10 years of progressive, people leadership with at least 7 years of leadership in an operations 

  • Prior P&L ownership to include partnering in the development of an annual operating plan, monthly BvA analysis, and weekly revenue recognition with a demonstrated excellence in efficiency and cost management. 

  • Up to 10travel and 24/7 availability depending on the performance of the division 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint with an ability to create and deliver Executive Level presentations. 

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as TPS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc. 

  • Experience and expertise to be able to create, analyze and manage Key Performance Indicators and metrics reporting 

  • Ability to make independent judgments which has considerable impacts on the organization
