Motivate is looking for an organized and detail oriented Operations Associate to help facilitate Operations functions. They will work closely with the Management team to ensure accurate inventory and administrative records, check in and out processes are followed, warehouse is well maintained, field operations team is appropriately trained and other departments are in coordination with operations. They will be based out of our depot in Brooklyn or the Bronx and will report to the Operations Manager.

About the Role 

  • Conducts routine counts of inventory and creates monthly inventory reports as requested (ie. Batteries, Tools, Fleet etc.) 

  • Distributes inventory to managers and field staff 

  • Ensures necessary equipment are prepped for each shift (ie facilities, vehicles , tools, batteries etc.) 

  • Develops and implements improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency  

  • Develop and create protocols to improve daily operations 

  • Notifies management of shortages or other problems that could impact Operations  

  • Monitor employee punches daily to ensure accuracy and policy compliance 

  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives 

  • Lead training for incoming team members as needed 

  • Restock the shop floor and vehicle fleet with parts, tools, and supplies as needed 

  • Maintain and uphold all Motivate policies and standards, including time and attendance, visual preparedness (uniforms), and standard operating procedures; aid in the recognition of employees with exemplary performance and report activities to management to result in corrective action to employees for non-compliance when necessary. 

  • Utilizes data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other electronics tools as needed to conduct data recording, analysis, and tracking 

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as needed 

 

About You 

  • You are highly organized and love to follow a process 

  • You over communicate both in writing and in words 

  • You know how to prioritize tasks and escalate situations when necessary 

  • You have experience working in a warehouse environment 

  • You thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment 

  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office and G Suite 

  • You love structure and solving problems 

  • You can lift up to 65 pounds and bend stoop and stand for long periods of time 

  • You have a valid Driver’s License and meet Motivate MVR requirements 

  • You are a team player! You thrive when working with others, use time efficiently, and demonstrate initiative to accomplish assigned tasks 

  • You are excited about working for a start up bikeshare company
