Job Duties:

  • Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large scale, cross-functional projects focusing on Network Enhancements, Upgrades, and new Functionality as well as supporting efforts maintaining the network on efforts focusing on technical issues, growth and capacity etc.
  • Ability to address Fiber builds, relocations, repairs, etc.
  • Manage real estate activities including site identification, acquisition, lease negotiations and easements for newly identified PoPs, Colocations, Field cabinets, regen sites, etc.
  • Ensure standard external due diligence is accomplished (title, Phase I, survey, legal, etc.); as well as internal due diligence to ensure the prospective target best meets company requirements
  • Coordinate all local zoning, permitting, re-development and demolition plans, including the presentation of our concepts to district board meetings as necessary
  • Ensure successful accomplishment of all internal real estate and construction financial approvals and confirming timely execution of legal documents and essential fund disbursements
  • Comfortable managing architectural, engineering and construction services to include solicitation of vendors, award and integration/management of these functions throughout the deployment cycle
  • Organize procurement of materials including back-up power and various infrastructure; coordination of local utilities services and prepare closeout packages
  • Manage multiple projects and vendors while thinking outside the box to find creative ways to save money and meet important quality standards
  • Actively collaborate by conducting internal and external deployment meetings to set proper expectations and meet desired milestones
  • Manage projects to ensure that life, functionality, and growth requirements are met.
  • Manage scope and mitigate risk across projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures related to Project management.
  • Manage project budgets. Proactively engage with project funding organizations to assure proper funding is available for projects and assure budget information is managed and reported in accordance with Segra methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external agencies.
  • Implement project reviews and quality assurance procedures in accordance with Lumos methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of projects as measured by organizational goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and manage project issues across multiple projects.
  • Manage client and third-party engagements as required by project demands and needs.
  • Provide verbal feedback regarding processes, methods, technologies, proposed solutions, etc.
    • Assure that new projects are deployed according to standards while minimizing cost.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years Project management experiences pertaining to the telecommunications industry is highly desired. 
  • MS Office knowledge, especially with Word, Excel and Project.
  • Knowledge and experience with telecommunications network technologies, protocols, and operations.
  • Experience related to Real Estate Acquisition
