ABOUT THE JOB


The Cedar Knolls House Hard to Place Group Residence (Bronx, NY) serves girls ages 12 to 21 who exhibit a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges stemming from acute and/or chronic traumatization.


The Direct Support Professional at Cedar Knolls House will work with vulnerable clients, ages 12-21, in residence, assisting them to meet their treatment plans, and ensuring that their independent living skills are implemented daily. Acting as a positive role model and providing therapeutic parenting, the direct support professional is charged with the fundamental responsibility of the client’s health and safety. This is direct support role in the Bronx.


QUALIFICATIONS

The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented Direct Support Professionals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • A current, valid clean Driver’s license is required for this position and throughout all DSP positions
  • Prior experience in a residential setting, with a similar population
