POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibility for training contract staff on operational procedures including production processes and all aspects of the curriculum associated with GGW and RISE initiatives. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with organizational RISE values and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Develops and maintains close partnerships with GGW’s Learning & Development Department to identify, operationalize, and implement training priorities that support the Contracts Team and partnership with other departments.
  2. Acts as the Contracts Team’s primary point of contact for TRAc implementation and is actively involved in ongoing operational and content refinements to the curriculum.
  3. Creates and updates written and online training and reference resources to include the Contracts SharePoint site.
  4. Produces technical reference documentation for Contracts systems and processes.
  5. Routinely visits each site location to provide support and training and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  6. Provides Contracts-specific content and implementation support for GGW’s RISE Academy (currently known as TRAc). Serves as a Contracts Team liaison to related initiatives and team activities.
  7. Delivers operations training and ongoing follow up for managers and team members.
  8. Supports any Contracts-related training initiatives.
  9. Delivers Contracts operations training to Managers and other Associates via live presentations, recorded video, Webcasts, and other written and computer-based media.
  10. 10. Completes reports as needed for each assignment.
  11. 11. Assists in designing new or revising existing training curriculum including but not limited to, the RISE Academy, and other new programs that are introduced for the Contracts Team.
  12. 12. Councils Contracts Managers to ensure sites are compliant with the GGW production system and that they are utilizing the Contracts Training Academy effectively and consistently.
  13. 13. Provides counsel regarding operational best practices at management meetings.
  14. 14. Assists with new site openings by providing training in relevant Contracts operations, orientation to the TRAc program, and training schedules for the new employee.
  15. 15. Assists with manager onboarding by providing training, help with the scheduling and ensure training sites are compliant with TRAc objectives.
  16. 16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

 

  1. Ability to develop curricula to support learning.
  2. Basic math and computer skills.
  3. Knowledge of Contracts operations.
  4. Skill in on-the-job training and classroom instruction, and presentation methods and techniques.
  5. Skill in oral and written communication.
  6. Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or four years of equivalent experience.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  8. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude, and appropriate professional appearance in accordance with GGW standards.
  9. Ability to establish and maintain meaningful, purposeful, and mature interpersonal relationships.
  10. 10. Valid Driver’s License and working vehicle.
  11. 11. Ability to pass government backgrounds check, to obtain badging at all contract sites.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  1. Previous supervisory experience.
  2. Previous experience in a donated goods environment.
  3. Previous experience working with the disabled and disadvantaged.
  4. Bilingual in Spanish.

 

Physical  Demands

  Medium

Frequent lifting and/or carrying of up to 50 pounds.   Prolonged walking and standing are required.  Frequent mobility.

 

Work Environment

 

  Limited

Contracts site environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.)
