Business Development Representative

We have an exciting opportunity here at FLEETCOR supporting our Lodging division! We’re looking to expand our growing team of sales professionals and offer continuous training and coaching to prime you for advancement opportunities that will allow you to build a lucrative and fulfilling career.
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying prospects in small to mid –sized companies to sell our diversified payment solutions. Reaching business targets through inbound/outbound calls (30-40 per day), identifying correct contacts, and setting up appointments for the Sale Executives people to pursue opportunities. This requires strong CRM systems knowledge, excellent written and verbal communication skills and consistent follow-through in order to provide best-in-class service to our customers.
You will kick off your career with a comprehensive 4-week paid training program. You will learn all about FLEETCOR, complete team building activities with other new hires, develop sales skills and techniques and get started on the phones with the help of our experienced Learning & Development team.
From there, you will join a sales team where you will receive continuous coaching and feedback from your sales manager.
What does a day in the life of an Business Development role look like?
- A majority of your time will be spent making calls and sending emails – You’ll work closely with Sales Executives on the payment solutions.
- You will prospect targeted leads, identify decision makers and set appointments for the Sales Executives.
- Opportunity to manage customer accounts during their introductory period to ensure a top-of-class experience.
- You will actively track and manage a pipeline of leads and customer interactions in our CRM
- You will be held accountable to meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly quotas.

- Associate/Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2+ years of sales experience.
- Relevant experience in Payments, Credit Cards, Payroll, Banking, FinTech, SaaS
- Experience in B2B, B2C, and B2B2C sales in the product or SaaS space preferred but not required
- Relevant hospitality / travel / fintech experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of inside sale concepts, practices and procedures
- Must be adaptable and be able to consistently deal with ever-changing conditions
- Superior organizational, verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal

- Our Toll tag customers can use their in-vehicle RFID tags to make other “on the go” purchases like parking, fuel and fast-food.
For our customers, these product extensions reduce payment friction, saving them time and operational headaches. For FLEETCOR, these product extensions can increase our share of wallet with existing customers and can increase our products’ appeal and applicability to previously-unserved customer segments (e.g., non-toll urban dwellers). We also create new product offerings, developed internally or in conjunction with partners, to cross-sell to our existing customer base.
- More Geographies. We continue to seek attractive entry opportunities in major international markets, which we intend to pursue through acquisitions and partnerships.
