Position Title:

Agency/Licensing/Commissions Specialist

Basic Function:

Under general supervision, you will maintain agent records, compile information, and handle all aspects in the verification process of the licensing of the agents to ensure they are licensed appropriately to conduct business for Life insurance policies. This role works independently within established procedures and guidelines associated within this job function. You will coordinate directly with agents, state agencies and corporate licensing of respective clients to ensure all agent licensing requirements are met and renewed as applicable by state law. This role will also be responsible for managing and maintaining commissions schedules, ensuring they are handled appropriately and in accordance with set schedules as defined in the contracts. Some telephone and email correspondence with agent/brokers regarding their commissions and/or licensing status will be required.

Essential Functions:

· Working knowledge of agent licensing

· Working knowledge of agent commissions

· Coordinate state reporting and licensing requirements for agent licensure and renewals

  • Monitor and prepare and required reporting
  • Effectively communicate with agents and brokers regarding any outstanding licensing requirements
  • Coordinate with clients regarding licensing and commissions for active agents
  • Research and review any outstanding licensing and commissions issues
  • Validate New and renewal licenses
  • Monitor agent appointments within applications meets all eligibility requirements
  • Affiliate agents with appropriate agency/brokers
  • Ensure daily work adheres to DOI rules and Regulations

Education Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience Requirements:

Experience in Life & Annuity Insurance, Experience in Agency, Licensing and Commissions
