Position Summary

The Pega Lead System Architect position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities; the position includes work with the company’s Pega system and integrations to other software and systems. The Pega Lead System Architect must have an expert understanding of the Pega Frameworks, BPM, Workflow and Pega Decision & Marketing applications. The Pega Lead System Architect is responsible for leading the architecture, customization of the design and managing of the full life cycle software development process. This position is required to lead the company’s Pega Center of Excellence, maintain architectural standards, and promote increased reuse of enterprise assets across all Pega solutions.

Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:

·Define Build Solution and Technical architecture

·Own Project design, coordination with development team, deliverables review

·Provide guidance on technical challenges to development team


The Pega Lead System Architect is responsible for leading technical implementation of solutions supporting business functionality. They are required to work with multiple teams including but not limited to Business, QA, Release Management, Infrastructure, and Project Management. They must offer coaching to and mentoring of the Pega Program team and other employees.


Summary of Essential Job Functions

·Architecture and Design of Pega application in Pega Infinity and above

·Key domain expertise in Credit Card industry

·Identify and lead product and organizational changes that constantly improve the way Pega delivers its solutions

·Expert in PegaRULES engine

·Expert in Pega Frameworks like Collections, Customer Service, Decision customer Hub

·Enterprise Application System Understanding

·Lead Company’s Pega Center of Excellence team.

·Apply forward-thinking principles and techniques to ensure that Pega's best practices approach leads the industry, remains fresh and current while keeping pace with Pega's rapidly evolving technology

·Considerable experience in designing and implementing Pega Workflow case management applications.

·Willing to work in a dynamic environment that is constantly looking to improve the way our stakeholders can make the most out of Pega

·Ability to "sell" new and emerging ideas and techniques internally to challenge the way Pega will delivery industry-leading digital transformation experiences

·Can influent across multiple levels of the organization while driving change throughout the projects within the organization

·Experience in on-premise application migrations to Cloud through followed best industry practices

·Full life cycle application development

·Design, code, and debug applications in various software languages

·Able to deliver engaging training and presentation content, occasionally to larger audiences

·Can recognize opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement

·Demonstrates thought leadership in project management industry trends

·Maintain Pega guardrails & compliance standards

·Lead offshore vendor teams

·Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements



·At least 8+ year of programming and software development life cycles (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)

·Knowledge of relational databases (SQLServer, PLSQL structure and development)


·BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of work experience and education

·Certification as Pega Certified Lead System Architect both Part 1 & 2 in Version 7 and above.

·Certification as Pega Certified Senior System Architect required

·Certification as Pega Certified Decisioning Consultant preferred but not required.

·8-12 years’ experience in a Software development environment

·4+ years’ experience as an LSA on Pega implementations/projects with LSA or LBA certification

·3+ years’ experience using Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum

·Designed and/or developed complex solutions

·Actively promote the use of Pega low-code development, specifically designing and building solutions that have capitalized on App Studio development

·Mentored other resources around Pega best practices and delivery excellence

·Prefer knowledge of Java, J2EE, JBoss, ADO, HTML, HTML5, JSON, ¸JSP, JavaScript, Web services, SOAP, Rest, XML, ASP, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgress UNIX, Linux, Tomcat, OWL, AJAX, and others as

defined.
