The IT Project Manager reports to the Director of IT and plays a critical role in overseeing and executing IT-specific projects while also serving as a valuable resource to the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO). This multifaceted role involves ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects, aligning them with the organization's strategic goals, and fostering collaboration and communication across departments. The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, while actively supporting the broader objectives of the PMO.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

⦁    Project Management:
⦁    Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
⦁    Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
⦁    Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed on schedule.
⦁    Monitor project progress, identify and address issues, and mitigate risks.
⦁    Report project status and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
⦁    Resource Allocation:
⦁    Collaborate with department managers to allocate resources effectively.
⦁    Ensure the availability of necessary IT resources (both human and technical) for project execution.
⦁    Manage resource conflicts and make adjustments as needed.
⦁    Stakeholder Communication:
⦁    Establish clear and open lines of communication with stakeholders.
⦁    Provide regular project updates and status reports to management and project sponsors.
⦁    Address concerns and feedback from both IT and non-IT stakeholders.
⦁    PMO Support / Alignment:
⦁    Contribute to the development and enhancement of PMO processes and standards.
⦁    Participate in Enterprise PMO meetings, share best practices, and provide input on PMO initiatives back to IMT.
⦁    Collaborate with other project managers to align project methodologies and tools with PMO standards.
⦁    Quality Assurance:
⦁    Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and fulfill business requirements.
⦁    Implement project management best practices to enhance project success rates.
⦁    Documentation and Reporting:
⦁    Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
⦁    Analyze project data and provide insights for continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications:
⦁    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
⦁    Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is preferred.
⦁    Proven experience in managing IT projects, preferably with a diverse project portfolio.
⦁    Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
⦁    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
⦁    Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to different project management approaches.
⦁    Proficiency in project management software and tools.
⦁    Familiarity with enterprise-level PMO functions and processes is a significant advantage.

⦁    Work hours may vary based on project needs, including evenings and weekends when required.
