Health Promotion Technician

STS Solutions and Training, LLC (SST) is currently seeking a Health Promotion Technician.

Position Responsibilities: Provide support to the Army Wellness Center (AWC) Director and Health Educators to efficiently provide the six core programs (health assessment review, physical fitness, healthy nutrition, stress management, general wellness education, and tobacco free-living education.) Provide support to the AWC program with tasks such as coordination of community events, scheduling appointments, managing referrals, performing administrative and clerical support tasks, educating clients on the AWC mission and services available, and supporting health educators in biometric screening. Conduct basic assessments such as health and biometric screenings as well as instructing health promotion briefs.

Experience

• Experience and ability to manage schedules using MS Outlook, electronic medical record systems
• Experience with equipment maintenance and calibration. 
• Experience with preventive maintenance schedules are maintained for equipment availability and accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
• Experience using the following preferred:
• Direct gas exchange analyzer, ultrasound body fat analyzer, air displacement plethysmography device, indirect calorimetry device, heart rate variability, strength dynamometer, goniometer, flexibility bench, skinfold calipers, weight scale and sphygmomanometer.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a fast paced team environment 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications):

•     Relevant Bachelor's degree - Allied Health (i.e. health promotion, health education, nursing, exercise science, etc)
