SUMMARY

The Fulfillment Team Leader manages activities within the Alta Resources fulfillment center to obtain optimal results for clients, efficiency and economy of operations, and maximize established program objectives by performing the following duties personally or through fulfillment staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Work closely with internal Alta Program Directors and external Client Liaisons to understand and exceed their metrics, understand and resolves issues, and be the overall go to person to meet all their fulfillment needs

Perform inventory management duties as necessary and overall internal and external reporting for all clients serviced

Oversee the direction of the fulfillment team and ensure team is meeting and exceeding service levels

Conduct and/or participate in team meetings to communicate Client's objectives and provide Alta Resources updates

Assist in business development with Client and Program Director

Monitor team members’ productivity to observe employee's demeanor and conformity to company quality standards, policies, and procedures, and provide coaching, guidance, and development to improve or advance performance

Recommend corrective action to address any quality, attendance, or performance issues

Manage staffing levels, assign duties, and examine work to meet client service levels

Compile and report metrics that are appropriate for the team

Analyze, report, and administer individual monthly incentive goals and achievements

Conduct reviews, coaching, and corrective actions for direct reports

Work with team to utilize the equipment to its maximum efficiency as appropriate

Ensure all aspects of automation are working at their utmost capacity and most efficient throughput

Work with pick ticket specialist to support production to ensure sufficient tickets in order to stay in compliant with service levels and keep carryover to a minimum

Track breaks, schedule adherence, call-ins, and adjust or document as necessary

Keep work areas clean and organized and follow Fulfillment Center guidelines at all times

Train new employees within the department and provide continuous training and coaching

Confer with managerial personnel to recommend changes in order to avoid recurring issues

Compile and report metrics on production levels

Process improvement ideas and implementation to increase production efficiency

Determine extra hour needs to meet production goals and work with Scheduler, production employees, and temp agency to fill those needs

Provide answers and solutions to problems that occur daily with the team to ensure line continues to flow most efficiently

Address personnel issues and work with HR and leadership to document as appropriate

Responsible for maintaining product and supply inventory levels, receiving product, and resolving issues

Work closely with other fulfillment staff

Provide backup for the other Team Leaders and Analysts as appropriate

Complete tasks as assigned by the Program Director

Regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises and carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, retaining, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving issues.  The position also requires active leadership in the way of supporting strategic initiatives as well as personal development and application of Six Sigma methodologies.  All leadership positions are expected to attain Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED, HSED) required;  a Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred.  1-3 years of leadership experience is required. Previous Fulfillment Center or warehouse experience preferred.
