Director Supply Chain & Procurement
Provide strategic leadership to the procurement, warehousing, and material planning teams to ensure all locations maintain appropriate material and inventory levels to support the business. Work closely with internal and external audit teams to develop, implement, test and report on all necessary key and non-key controls required to maintain; separation of duty, transaction accuracy, detailed report generation, and compliance review. Monitor spend across departments, vendors and geographic locations to identify supply risks, mitigate cost increases, and report on budget vs. actual spend status. Lead forecasting efforts by building relationships and proactively communicating with vendors, manufacturers, and other departments to jointly develop and update detailed material demand plans. Responsible for vendor and contract management to ensure all vendors are compliant with established processes and procedures, meet delivery and invoicing SLA’s, and comply with any responsible sourcing requirements. Gather requirements, process RFP’s, negotiate pricing, and contract for the procurement of materials, supplies, and services. This position will have responsibility for developing, communicating and executing the materials management strategy required to support the continued growth of the business.
a. Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or related field
b. Experience: 15+ years of experience in materials management, procurement and/or purchasing c. Experience: 10+ years of experience in management and supervision of direct reports
d. Special Requirements: Experienced in sourcing and negotiating material purchases and service agreements, and contracts.
e. Certification: SPSM, CPSM, CPM, CSCP, CPIM, or SCOR-P certification or equivalent knowledge, multiple certifications strongly desired
f. Valid driver’s license
i. Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
ii. Ability to communicate effectively with, and make presentations to, management, employees, and customers
iii. Ability to negotiate agreements with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
