Senior Manager / Director / VP - SBA IT

 

VelocitySBA’s Director of IT will work oversee IT service delivery for the business and work with the President and CTO to develop a roadmap aligned with our business strategy.  This role will support all aspects of business operations from originating from sales, back-office processing, portfolio servicing, accounting and compliance, and loan sale and / or securitization.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee IT service delivery for the business
  • Develop a roadmap aligned with our business strategy
  • Work to incorporate ongoing tactical priorities into roadmap priorities
  • Work with the business to document process and develop process and workflow automation
  • Maintain compliance with all SBA regulations and data security best practices
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of enterprise reporting
  • Leads the testing phase through the creation of test plans and reviews and analysis
  • Management over the validation of each software release.
  • Promotes the development of effective team relationships to ensure success of team efforts

Required experience:

 

  • Ten to fifteen years of experience managing and participating as a subject matter expert in business / technology operations in financial services, specifically with commercial banks, non bank lenders or fintechs.
  • 3-5 years of IT management experience in commercial lending
  • Experience supporting loan origination and servicing
  • Experience working in regulated financial services with third party reporting requirements
  • Business communications and developing plans and presentations
  • Business analysis and requirements documentation
  • Develop and report metrics including utilization and efficiency
  • Manage vendor relations and build strategic alliances vendors
  • Working with teams of outside developers through the full software development lifecycle
  • Enterprise reporting for financial services
  • Strong analytical, project management and organizational skills are required; including the ability to perform, coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple activities
  • Reporting using Microsoft Reporting Services. SQL query writing and optimization
  • Project management (certifications preferred but not required)

 

  • SBA lending experience preferred but not required
  • ITIL preferred but not required
