Agile Development Manager

The Agile Web Development Manager will lead a team of web developers and partner closely with marketing & creative to craft exceptional digital experiences. 



Responsibilities:


  • Makes effective and timely hiring decisions

  • Train, coach & develop talent, skills, and capability across the team

  • Drive performance and productivity that continually elevates the team

  • Implements succession planning and career development programs that drive team growth, retention, and career expansion

  • Fosters leadership team collaboration and support

  • Partner with the marketing/creative team to craft exceptional digital experiences

  • Balance day-to-day maintenance work alongside strategic project planning and marquee development work

  • Establish a process that enables creative/development experimentation to flourish – alongside maintenance delivery work – getting the empowerment to own it all 

  • Build websites from the ground up, from rebrands to brand-firsts

  • Help modernize and elevate Aquent digital brands, pushing what is possible

  • Lead the ongoing evolution of agile practices for the development team

  • Conduct discovery for proposed new websites and features in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Prioritize web development work in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Lead development team in designing solutions to web development challenges, the approach to work, and team processes

  • Monitoring and evaluation of development team performance

  • Performing and participating in work-in-progress feature demos

  • Managing user stories and tasks in the project management platform to indicate work progress

  • Participate in stand ups, team planning, retrospectives, and other Agile development meetings

  • Communicating with team members and other parts of the Aquent organization to remove barriers to progress



Qualifications:



  • A passion for crafting beautiful, functional, on-brand web experiences that breakthrough

  • Ability to oversee consistent design systems across multiple brands/websites

  • Experience working with Figma and design component libraries

  • Demonstrated experience building and managing code-based UI pattern libraries – provide in example URLs

  • Demonstrated experience with code-based animation and interaction design/enhancements - provide in example URLs

  • A visual brand sensibility and eye towards design, interaction, and experience consistency

  • Strong time management, estimation, and progress-reporting skills

  • Ability to lead/manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Experience/interest in content personalization and emerging technologies

  • A portfolio of websites you have led the development of, or example URL

  • Experience leading technical teams

  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies, methodologies including HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, Responsive Frameworks, Automated Testing

  • Experience with Version Control, Design Tools, Project Management Systems, and Communication Tools Git, Figma, JIRA, Slack, etc.

  • Experience with content management systems (i.e. Wordpress)

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration (emails, landing pages, etc._

  • Web development standards and accessibility development standards

  • Web DevOps, Web QA
